Overview

We are seeking a skilled Taper/painter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall installations and ensuring a smooth, professional appearance in various residential and commercial projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently with other tradespeople on-site. The Taper will play a crucial role in achieving high-quality finishes that meet our clients' expectations.

Duties

  • Apply tape and joint compound to drywall seams to create a smooth surface.
  • Sand and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes.
  • Collaborate with carpenters, handymen, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Perform caulking around windows, doors, and other fixtures as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
  • Strong skills in carpentry, maintenance person tasks, and construction painting.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately to execute project plans effectively.
  • Proficiency in caulking techniques for various applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
