Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled oil sampling and change fluid filters as per contract agreements
  • Perform maintenance as per machine specific checklists
  • Conduct visual machine condition reporting; including visual inspection of Product Link components
  • Coordinate ordering parts, maintain, and stock service truck
  • Fluent in electronic communications and service reporting
  • Must be able to make first customer contact for PM scheduling
  • Environmentally responsible for sensitive work areas
  • During schedule maintenance, install 'plug & play' Product Link "PL542" systems, and register using "CAT Activate"

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically included
  • A valid class 5 drivers license with a successful drivers abstract
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
  • Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety oriented with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems considered assets

Important Details:

  • This position is based out of Edmonton on a Monday to Friday 5x2 schedule, but out of town travel will be required
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
  • Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that my occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement.
  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
