Title : Sr. Project Control Officer

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)

Mode: Contract

Key Responsibilities

Project and Program Support

  • Provide operational and administrative support to project managers and project teams in the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of program activities.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of multiple, high-volume health workforce programs while ensuring continuity of ongoing operations.
  • Track project progress, action items, risks, issues, and deliverables, escalating concerns where appropriate.

Stakeholder and Client Engagement

  • Work closely with healthcare employers, nurses, and internal stakeholders to support effective utilization of health workforce programs.
  • Liaise with internal teams to enhance the stakeholder and client experience when navigating workforce initiatives and incentives.
  • Support direct communications with external stakeholders regarding program eligibility, processes, and timelines.

Data, Reporting, and Documentation

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project documentation, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting logs.
  • Prepare accurate and timely project status reports, dashboards, and trend analyses for program leadership.
  • Manage document repositories to ensure proper version control, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized processes for data management and document control.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree preferred, or an undergraduate degree in health, social sciences, political sciences, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum
    7 years of experience
    in non-profit, healthcare, and/or government environments.
  • Minimum
    7 years of experience
    providing client and stakeholder support and relationship management.
  • Minimum
    7 years of experience
    preparing and maintaining spreadsheets and/or databases.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple project managers and complex, high-volume programs.
  • Proven public sector experience (mandatory).

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills to prepare reports, track trends, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and build consensus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in health workforce or health human resources–related programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience in risk management, budgeting support, and progress reporting.
  • Familiarity with public sector project governance and reporting standards.
