Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your contributions will be vital in assisting with medication preparation, inventory management, and customer service within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns from patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
  • Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy workspace.
  • Document patient information accurately, including medication history and medical terminology as needed.

Skills

  • Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and attention to detail when interacting with patients.
  • Knowledgable with Kroll (or similar ) an asset.
  • Ability to assist with medication administration processes while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
