Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional roadside assistance and towing services to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various types of towing equipment effectively.
Duties
- Respond promptly to towing requests and roadside assistance calls.
- Safely operate tow trucks and other vehicles to transport disabled or damaged vehicles.
- Assess the situation of stranded vehicles and determine the best method for towing or assistance.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs on vehicles when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered, including vehicle information and customer interactions.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear instructions and updates throughout the towing process.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients in stressful situations.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus for loading and unloading vehicles safely.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) required for operating tow trucks.
- Background in automotive repair is beneficial for assessing vehicle issues on-site.
