JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Specialist, Insights and Analytics reports to the Senior Director, Marketing and will generate actionable insights and analytics that contribute to strategic decision-making for the Pharmacosmos Canada brands. This role partners with marketing and key cross-functional teams to synthesize data, uncover market opportunities, and contribute to commercial strategies that are grounded in evidence and customer understanding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Insights & Research Leadership
• Conduct primary and secondary market research to understand the needs, behaviours, and motivations of patients, prescribers, payers, and healthcare systems, in close partnership with Marketing and Medical, with a goal of translating research findings into patient journeys.
• Develop research plans that answer critical business questions and support brand strategy development.
• Maintain relationships with research vendors, ensuring methodological integrity and high-quality
deliverables.
• Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners.
Analytics & Performance Measurement
• Build and maintain dashboards and KPI tracking frameworks for the brands.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on market drivers, competitive activity, access trends, and product
performance, in partnership with the Senior Director, Marketing.
• Partner with sales excellence to ensure accurate demand forecasting and scenario planning, which will support field force design and performance tracking.
• Provide input into the Forecasting process for each brand, working in close collaboration with Brand Leads, Sales, Patient Access and Finance
• Support evaluation of promotional effectiveness and ROI for both digital and traditional tactics.
Strategic Decision Support
• Integrate insights across multiple sources (market research, clinical data, claims data, CRM, secondary audits) to inform brand planning and long-term strategy.
• Serve as the insights partner during annual brand strategy cycles, providing foundational market
assessments and opportunity sizing.
• Identify unmet needs, emerging trends, and risks, and proactively recommend actions for Product Managers and leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and Finance to ensure insights are
embedded throughout decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, compelling, and data-driven
manner.
• Support field teams with customer insights that enhance targeting, messaging, and engagement
strategies.
Other
• Demonstrate the Pharmacosmos Values and Way of Working, as well as comply with company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct, all applicable Canadian laws and industry regulations governing pharmaceutical operations, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), health and safety requirements, ethical standards, data privacy legislation, and any relevant Health Canada guidelines. Maintain the highest standards of integrity, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance in all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• BS or BA Degree required, with preference for specialization in marketing, business, or life sciences
• MBA preferred
Experience:
• Four (4) years of experience working within pharmaceuticals or biotech required, with at least two (2) years of experience in insights, analytics, market research, or commercial strategy.
• Specialty-care experience highly valued.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., claims data such as IQVIA - Xponent,
RxDynamics and EMR/EHR datasets; CRM, payer and CDH data).
Skills / Competencies:
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative methods, forecasting, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Ability to translate data into simple, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Travel required – approximately 10% of the time
• Languages: English required
