We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our team in Edmonton for a 14-month term. In this role, you'll drive end-to-end recruitment for both internal and external hires, support internal employee movements, and act as a trusted advisor on unionized staffing processes and Air Traffic Services student hiring. You'll partner closely with leaders, influence hiring decisions, and help shape a strong, inclusive workforce.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with hiring managers to lead the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Conduct high-volume recruitment activities, including computer-based testing, interviews, candidate assessments and monitoring pre-employment conditions.

  • Provide consultative advice on recruitment approaches, selection criteria, and hiring decisions.

  • Support interview preparation by reviewing and advising on job-related, competency-based questions.

  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with collective agreements, employment legislation, and organizational policies.

  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and staffing actions in HR systems.

  • Track recruitment metrics and activities to support data-driven decisions.

  • Build strong internal networks and represent NAV CANADA at career fairs and recruitment events.

  • Prepare high quality candidate communications and offer letters.

  • Support national recruitment programs in alignment with collective agreements.

What you bring:

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or in a relevant field of study; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant full cycle recruitment and sourcing experience as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Advisor or HR Generalist with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize a high workload within a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working in a unionized environment.

  • Experience using an enterprise-scale Applicant Tracking System and proficiency using the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to partner with hiring managers to understand their business needs and support operational requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
