Job Description

What will your days be like at LGI Healthcare Solutions? 

As a Senior Developer, you will work closely with development teams (internal and external) and product teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the Med-Urge product, keeping clients at the center of decision-making and using best practices in a complex context. You will ensure smooth integration between the different components of the architecture.

How will your contributions be showcased?

Feature Development (about 80% of the time)

  • Help design/program high-risk elements.
  • Diagnose and resolve the most complex technical issues.
  • Understand and play a major role in the design and delivery cycle—from ideation to project design, UX, coding, testing, deployment, security, and component integration.
  • Ensure the solution is easy to maintain by promoting good design and code refactoring to minimize technical debt and facilitate deployment.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to guarantee the product's technical sustainability.
  • Produce clear and effective technical documentation.

Level 3 Support (about 10% of the time)

  • Investigate issues reported by clients.
  • Train Level 1 and Level 2 support teams on technical updates for each version.

Planning and Content Preparation (about 10% of the time)

  • Support the technical lead in planning new releases.
  • Conduct complex technical analyses, always aiming for the best solution for clients.
  • Analyze and validate Product Manager requirements to determine project feasibility.
  • Evaluate and provide high-level estimates.
Qualifications

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of programming experience
  • Experience with complex software
  • Experience working with external consultants
  • Strong programming knowledge (C#, .NET Core, Angular)
  • Solid database knowledge (MS SQL)
  • Good understanding of programming best practices (unit testing, algorithms, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (build and deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Visual FoxPro 9 considered an asset

  • This position must be bilingual as you will be responsible for working with documentation in both French and English and communicating, orally and in writing, with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
