Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Health Care Aide to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to residents, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, promoting a person-centered approach to care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies and BC health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry required.
  • Valid Food Safety certificate required.
  • Valid First Aid Level C certificate required.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $29.83 per hour
