Location: Hybrid - mostly remote, some in-person (UTM/GTA)
About Squirl Signs:
Squirl Signs is a student-led startup based at the University of Toronto, building accessible communication technology in collaboration with the Deaf community.
The Role:
We're looking for a Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and manage a small team of marketing associates. You'll shape content, guide branding decisions, and work closely with the founding team as we grow.
This is an unpaid 6-month internship offering real leadership experience and portfolio-ready work.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of marketing associates
- Oversee content ideas and strategy
- Support creation of:
- Social media posts, reels, and videos
- Infographic designs
- Merch and branding mockups
- Collaborate with Deaf community members
- Attend occasional meetings or events at UTM or GTA locations
We Are Looking For Someone:
- Creative, social, and organized
- Comfortable being on camera
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Interested in social impact
Requirements:
- Based in the GTA (able to commute occasionally)
- Available for a 6-month unpaid internship
- Resume required
- Experience with social media or graphic design is a plus
