We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with schematics are highly valued. The position involves performing repairs, diagnostics, and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles, utilizing both hand and power tools. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and working with complex mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Assist with vehicle assembly and component replacement as needed
- Maintain detailed records of services performed for each vehicle
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely (heavy lifting required)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good customer service skills to explain repairs clearly to clients
- Valid mechanic license or relevant certifications are mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with automotive repair, maintenance, or assembly is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
