Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position for a Senior Accountant located in Surrey, BC. The Senior Accountant will manage and oversee daily accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support tax preparation and reporting processes. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and communicating financial information to stakeholders. Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations is also a critical part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, General Ledger management, and Budget Preparation
  • Strong Analytical Skills, Attention to Detail, and Problem-Solving Abilities
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software and Tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel), familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
  • Experience with Yardi or Yardi Breeze is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Taxation, Compliance, and Financial Regulations
  • Exceptional Communication, Team Collaboration, and Interpersonal Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is highly preferred
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
