Job Description – Children's & Family Pastor PoCo

Position Title
: Children's and Family Pastor – Port Coquitlam Campus

Reporting To
: Children and Family Ministry Director

Position Description
: The Children's and Family Pastor is a permanent full-time position based on an average of 40 hours per week. This individual is responsible for discipleship, care, and all aspects of ministry related to children aged 0 to Grade 7 and their families at the Port Coquitlam campus. The goal is to make this ministry irresistible for the children and families that attend this campus.

Duties to include
:

·      Oversee all aspects of Sunday morning Kids Church

·      Oversee all aspects of ministry to children ages 0-12

·      Volunteer recruitment, management and care of the volunteers who serve

·      Provide pastoral care to and build relationships with the PoCo families

·      Organize and facilitate a mid-week program

·      Organize and facilitate a kids camp in Spring and Summer

·      Organize and facilitate regular family events

·      Pastorally interact with guests at the weekly Food for Families program

·      Participate in all church events

Qualifications:

·      A mature Christian who demonstrates an active walk with God through regular spiritual disciplines and living in accordance with the church's mission, core values and administrative guidelines, including operating within the departmental budget

·      A member or willing to become a member of Broadway Church

·      A passion for ministering to and discipiling young children in their spiritual walk

·      A team player willing to collaborate with others

·      Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·      Strong social and leadership skills to effectively lead and equip volunteers

·      Experience working with children and families

·      Excellent and effective communicator – both giving and receiving feedback

·      Able to take the initiative and work independently

Compensation:

·      $50,000-$65,000 based upon years of pastoral experience

· days paid vacation – negotiable pending years of pastoral experience

·      Full extended health benefits

·      PAOC Pension plan or matching RRSP group plan – maximum 5% salary

·      $75 monthly cellphone allowance
