Role Overview

As a Designer, Estimator & CAD Site Plan Drafter, you'll be an essential part of our design-build process—from concept through construction. You'll combine creativity, technical precision, and practical construction knowledge to produce designs, estimates, and job packages that communicate clearly and help our projects run smoothly.

You'll collaborate directly with company leadership, sales, and construction teams to ensure your designs not only inspire clients but also translate seamlessly into the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and accurate project estimates and material takeoffs
  • Develop clear, buildable CAD site plans and construction packages
  • Collaborate with sales, leadership, and construction crews to align design intent with execution
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members to support project success
  • Contribute ideas to improve internal systems, workflows, and efficiency
  • Support continuous innovation through technology, design process improvement, and cross-department collaboration

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of landscape design and/or estimating experience, ideally with residential design-build firms
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (required)
  • Experience with LMN Estimating or similar software (asset)
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • A team mindset — eager to collaborate, learn, and take ownership of your work
  • Bonus: experience in 3D rendering, construction detailing, or site measurement
  • Comfort using modern tools and AI-enhanced workflows is a plus
