Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AZ Truck Driver to join our logistics team with an experience of 2 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that freight is delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure the truck remains operational.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, maintenance, and driving practices.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
  • Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery documentation and compliance with regulations.
