Senior Project Manager
Burlington, Ontario

Key Purpose:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall projects, which will include planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control, and will provide direction and to meet the clients' requests and quality standards. The Project manager's responsibilities will cover all areas of project management including project planning, cost management, time management, quality management and contract administration. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Support the design Build Team from sales hand over, this will include project delivery, including design, quality, team management, and leadership
  • Keep projects on budget by tendering scopes of work competitively and negotiating buyouts of sub-contracts based
  • Identify project risks, mitigate company exposure to them effectively and within the terms of both Prime and Sub-contracts
  • Drive project schedules through planning and leading site personal
  • Ensure the schedule is being tracked regularly on an actual vs baseline basis
  • Ensure that the project expectations are being met 
  • Inspection of construction sites to ensure quality is being delivered
  • Oversee tendering, bid selection, buy-out approval, and contract administration and post-Construction client support for warranty calls
  • Ensure construction billing documentation is delivered to the Finance Department accurately and on time
  • Accurately complete biweekly reports and monthly budget forecasting for all projects in a timely manner, while being prepared to provide project updates as they are needed
     
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15+ years experience in project delivery including all major facets of Pre-Con development, procurement, negotiation, and technical experience in the hands-on delivery of Greenfield and Brownfield construction. 
  • Diploma or degree in Building Science, Architectural Technology, or Construction Management or other relevant combination of education and experience. 
  • An Engineering degree with a specialization in Construction Project Management is considered an asset. 
  • PMP Certified is a plus.

Applicants should include a portfolio of successfully delivered projects highlighting food processing, cold storage, or similar ICI / Manufacturing projects.
