Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager who will be able to support the overall program with a project management structure and enforce best practices across the team. Under the direction of the Program Manager, they will work with team members across the program to review and initiate best practices for project management. Their expertise as a project manager will be critical and support the Program Leadership in coordinating activities to enable effective Project Management will be key.

Responsibilities:


• Developing forecasts, tracking actuals, and completing financial reports


• Developing approaches, plans, and schedules, including estimating level of effort, to ensure that scope will be complete


• Preparing templates for deliverables, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring that deliverables are completed to the quality standard required in a timely manner


• Working with the Benefits, Transition, Technology, and Business Design teams to ensure they are delivering on time and on budget.


• Collaborating and or training other project managers to complete status reports, including reviewing for formatting and best practice adherence


• Supporting other project managers with project set up, and auditing projects for adherence to best practices


• Supporting the onboarding of new project management best practices across the program


• Maintaining a Project Roster, including supporting new team onboarding.


• Providing overall program coordination and support


• When needed, supporting in a Project Management capacity for as specific project (vs. solely cross-program)

Mandatory Requirements:


• Self-starter and ability to work effectively as an individual contributor, as required, as well as part of a team


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environment and build effective relationships


• Experience working on a business transformation program or project


• 2+ years experience as a project manager in a high-pace environment
