EJOT develops solutions for all joining and fastening problems in close cooperation with the customer. The goal is to use "intelligent" EJOT products to secure the quality of the joint and at the same time decrease the overall costs.
Currently, we are looking for a Field Sales Engineer to be part of
EJOT Canada's technical team
. He/She will be based locally in Ontario and will support customers, sales teams, and internal departments.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Present, promote, and sell EJOT fastening solutions and engineered products using strong technical and commercial arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing and potential customers to recommend optimal EJOT fastening solutions
- Establish, develop, and maintain long-term business and customer relationships aligned with EJOT Canada's values
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and proactive market development
- Perform daily visits to potential and existing customers across the assigned Ontario territory
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to explain products, applications, and value proposition
- Generate high-quality sales leads, follow up after initial contact, negotiate pricing, secure and renew orders, and coordinate deliveries
- Collaborate with internal teams to research, develop, and adapt EJOT products to meet customer and application-specific requirements
- Collect, log, and analyze customer feedback to support new sales strategies and product improvements
- Identify market opportunities, challenges, and areas for improvement, and communicate findings and solutions to management
- Set, manage, and achieve assigned sales goals and territory quotas
- Provide technical training and product support to other members of the sales team when required
- Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Coordinate sales efforts with engineering, customer service, logistics, and other departments within EJOT Canada
- Analyze territory and market potential, track sales performance, and maintain accurate CRM and status reports
- Prepare and submit weekly reports covering sales activity, customer needs, competitive activity, and opportunities for new products and services
- Stay current with industry trends, fastening technologies, and market developments by reading publications and attending conferences and seminars
- Monitor market fluctuations, customer trends, and competitor activity within Ontario
- Continuously improve performance through feedback, training, and professional development
- Assist team members with transactions and customer support as needed
- Work collaboratively within an organization involved in importing and exporting products, supporting day-to-day activities related to a growing Canadian subsidiary
Field Sales Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or a related field
- Experience in technical sales, preferably within industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and consultative sales skills
- Ability to translate technical fastening concepts into clear, customer-focused solutions
- Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to pursue ongoing sales and engineering education related to EJOT products and markets
- Reside locally and possess a strong understanding of the Ontario and Canadian market
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve sales targets
- Knowledge of the fastener market is a strong asset
- P.Eng designation is an asset
