Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ballet Instructor with RAD certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classical ballet, a love for teaching children, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This role involves nurturing students' technical skills, artistic expression, and confidence in ballet.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver ballet lessons for children of various age groups and skill levels, following RAD syllabus.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
  • Provide individualized attention, offering constructive feedback to help students improve technique, posture, turnout, and performance quality.
  • Organize and lead dance showcases, recitals, and other performances to highlight student progress.
  • Maintain classroom discipline while ensuring a fun and motivating atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to design and implement comprehensive ballet programs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, class updates, and upcoming events.

Experience & Qualifications

  • RAD certification is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably in a ballet or dance school setting.
  • Experience teaching children aged 3–13+ is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of classical ballet technique, including barre and center work, alignment, turnout, and RAD syllabus requirements.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to different skill levels and learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and encouraging approach.
  • A background in other dance styles is a plus but not required.
