Instrumentation Technician

The Technician, Instrumentation (Temporary) is responsible for performing support tasks related to laboratory equipment in preparation for and during the laboratory relocation.

Responsibilities
More specifically, you will participate in the following:

• Perform the assigned cleaning, maintenance, packaging prior to the move of laboratory equipment;
• Assist in the movement of laboratory furniture (tables, shelves, etc), materials (e.g., gas and liquid tanks), and equipment, as required;
• Other tasks related to laboratory equipment as needed (e.g., preparation of documents for archiving)
• May be required to work outside of regular working hours and potentially during weekends to support the laboratory relocation activities
• Required to work in a CL2 environment

Education

• DEC in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnologies, or related fields

Main Requirements

• Capability to lift loads weighing up to 25kg
• 1 year of relevant experience (A plus)
• Experience working in industry (regulated environment) is a plus
• Good manual skills;
• Knowledge and understanding of French and English, oral and written, sufficient to carry out written procedures;
• Good record keeping, attention to details and commitment to achieving good quality work;
• Excellent time management, organization and resourcefulness skills;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team;
• Positive and professional attitude
