Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist with scheduling and dispatching of all aircraft on a daily basis
Ensure compliance with company and Transport Canada regulations
Check flight plans for completeness and accuracy
Review and maintain flight logs and other reports
Brief flight crews prior to departure and provide pilots with information essential to aviation safety
Contact crew prior to flights to ensure awareness of upcoming flight schedule
Delay or cancel flights as warranted
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operational Control Centre Manager
Qualifications
Holds current commercial pilot license (IATRA preferred)
Multi-IFR training is a definite asset
Previous experience in a dispatch or flight follower role preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent MS Office and related computer skills
Proven ability to work independently
Must meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
Working Conditions
Pilot-in-waiting positions are expected to lead to flying positions
Must be eligible to work in Canada, and currently residing in Canada
