Your role with us:
Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for the procurement of goods and services across the organization. The Procurement Specialist will secure costing without jeopardizing quality and ensuring alignment with procedures and policies.
You will bring to the role:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain is preferred.
- SCMP designation is preferred.
- Experience in vendor management is an asset.
- Experience working with ERP, intermediate computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawings, material specifications and procurement cycle documents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and teambuilding skills.
