Job Overview

We are currently seeking caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Substitute Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) to join our team. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy flexible work and supporting children across different age groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Supervise and interact with children during play, routines, and transitions
  • Assist with daily activities such as art, sensory play, outdoor play, and mealtimes
  • Follow centre policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing regulations
  • Communicate respectfully with staff and support positive classroom dynamics

Qualifications:

  • Valid ECE or ECEA license (or actively working toward certification)
  • Experience working with young children (infant, toddler, or preschool experience is an asset)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different classrooms
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 35 per week

Work Location: In person
