Job Opportunity at Pheasant Hill Homes:
The carpenter is responsible for production, leadership, organization, communication, on various construction projects. He/ she is accountable to the appropriate Site Superintendent(s), and the Construction Workerager.
The successful applicant will have:
- Carpenter ideally has 5 years of residential construction experience with a solid understanding of how other trades fit into projects. Red Seal (or apprenticeship training) preferred.
- Knowledge of Construction Science and cutting edge on best practices in the field
- Proven leadership skills
- A positive attitude along with a lifelong commitment to learning and growth
- A lead by example style with the ability to provide mentor-ship and training
- A professional demeanor and able to meet the needs of our clients
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Read and comprehend construction blueprints, engineer's drawings and specifications
- The ability to work under deadlines and with multiple responsibilities without compromising quality
- Have top quality and high standards
- Attention to detail, the ability to comprehend construction assemblies and think spatially
- Manage paperwork
- Ability to estimate, and order materials
- Long term career goals
- Own transportation in good operating condition and kept clean
- A clean criminal record and a BC driver's license
