Job Opportunity at Pheasant Hill Homes:

The carpenter is responsible for production, leadership, organization, communication, on various construction projects. He/ she is accountable to the appropriate Site Superintendent(s), and the Construction Workerager.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Carpenter ideally has 5 years of residential construction experience with a solid understanding of how other trades fit into projects. Red Seal (or apprenticeship training) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Construction Science and cutting edge on best practices in the field
  • Proven leadership skills
  • A positive attitude along with a lifelong commitment to learning and growth
  • A lead by example style with the ability to provide mentor-ship and training
  • A professional demeanor and able to meet the needs of our clients
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Read and comprehend construction blueprints, engineer's drawings and specifications
  • The ability to work under deadlines and with multiple responsibilities without compromising quality
  • Have top quality and high standards
  • Attention to detail, the ability to comprehend construction assemblies and think spatially
  • Manage paperwork
  • Ability to estimate, and order materials
  • Long term career goals
  • Own transportation in good operating condition and kept clean
  • A clean criminal record and a BC driver's license
