Responsibilities:We have multiple opportunities available on our kitchen crew, responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to kitchen procedures and brand standards, ensuring consistent quality in taste, presentation, and portioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all health and sanitation guidelines set by B.C. and Old Yale Brewing.
  • Receive, organize, and store food properly, including stocking and maintaining adequate levels of food on the line throughout service.
  • Follow closing procedures to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next shift.
  • Conduct prep work and portion ingredients ahead of time to keep service running smoothly.
  • Roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to get the job done and support the team, complete other duties as required within the same scope and level.

For shift or kitchen lead positions, additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide direction to the kitchen crew, ensuring execution of all duties are done to the highest quality.
  • Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments.
  • Work with the Head Chef, General Manager and Hospitality Manager to price and change menu items when needed.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of kitchen and restaurant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and knowledge of kitchen operations.
  • Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be high energy and performance-driven with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including superior interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, dependable, and dedicated.
  • Valid Food Safe certification is preferred.
