Summary
The brightwork on a yacht sets the tone for the whole vessel. Do you have the experience and the eye to create awesome finishes on both interior and exterior surfaces. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for varnishing by scraping, sanding, cleaning and masking.
- Protect adjacent surfaces such as decks, hardware and windows.
- Apply varnish and other finishes with precision to ensure a flawless, durable coating.
- Maintain and operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the paint team and other departments to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality assurance.
- Assist others of the paint team with fairing, priming and application of polyurethane coatings
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the maintenance of tools, work areas and equipment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in varnishing or finishing on marine vessels.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques.
- Being aware that the details matter.
- Possess a keen eye and a steady hand for brush or spray work.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in finishing work.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights or over the water.
- Quality - you take pride in your trade .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Innately reliable.
- Good communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
