Ladybug Lawn and Snow Ltd. is a small, family owned and operated landscape maintenance company looking for a great employee for the 2026 season, and possibly beyond.
We are looking for an experienced gardener. Knowledge of, and experience with, common landscape plants found in the Edmonton area and the care they require, is preferred. We are also willing to train the right people.
Duties would include, among other things, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, planting, heavy lifting, long hours, sweating and getting dirty. Our line of work is primarily lawn and garden maintenance and smaller landscaping projects. This a very physically demanding job, and candidates should be in excellent physical condition. Kneeling, crouching and crawling around on the ground for long periods of time are normal.
The successful candidate will be neat and clean in appearance, be dependable and on time, have good communication skills and be willing to learn new things.
Pay will be dependent on experience. The starting pay for entry-level positions is $20 per hour, with the possibility of negotiation based on individual skills and experience. Work is primarily in the west central Edmonton area.
The successful candidates will be well grounded in the Edmonton area, and have full time availability. While we do highly value personal time, all vacations or time away will be discussed and approved well in advance.
Candidates must have their own reliable vehicle. A daily flat rate vehicle allowance will be paid.
We are very interested in finding a long-term employee. Year-round work may be available for the right person. Students are also very welcome to apply.
