Senior Data Analyst

Rate:

  • $60–65/hour (Incorporated)
  • $45–52/hour (T4)

Location & Work Model:

  • Full-time onsite for the first 3 months
  • Hybrid work may be considered after, with manager approval

Eligibility

  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Able to obtain Reliability Status and Controlled Goods Security Clearance

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Analyst
to design, build, and support advanced business intelligence and analytics solutions. This role focuses on transforming complex enterprise data into high-quality, high-performance Power BI reporting used to support large programs and decision-making.

You will work across the full data lifecycle—from data sources and warehousing to modeling and visualization—while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex
    Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build optimized
    Gold-layer views
    in Databricks for BI consumption
  • Develop advanced
    Power BI data models
    using DAX and Power Query (M)
  • Write and optimize
    complex SQL queries
    for large datasets
  • Define and document
    data lineage and transformation strategies
  • Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems into unified reporting models
  • Validate data accuracy, transformations, and calculations
  • Create clear technical and business documentation
  • Act as a
    Power BI subject matter expert
    , supporting and mentoring users
  • Ensure BI solutions meet performance, governance, and deployment standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
  • Expert-level
    Power BI
    experience (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, RLS)
  • Strong
    SQL
    skills, including performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with
    Databricks and Delta Lake
  • Solid understanding of
    data modeling
    (star/snowflake schemas, SCDs)
  • Experience working in large enterprise or complex data environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Azure analytics services
    (Azure SQL DW, Azure Analysis Services)
  • Python and/or Spark experience
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field
  • Master's degree is an asset
