Job Overview:
We're looking for a Director to join our Experience Team. In this role, you'll be leading an integrated group of experiential marketers across an exciting partnership portfolio that spans major sports events, talent partnerships and hospitality. You'll be responsible for providing sound strategic direction, both internally and externally, supporting the day-to-day team in achieving major partnership milestones, and managing all program financials. If you're an experienced and collaborative leader with a passion for sports and entertainment, and a keen eye for detail and organization, this role could be a good fit for you.
The successful candidate joining Wasserman is an impassioned individual who is looking to make a measurable and positive impact on everything they do. They will harness the passion of sports & entertainment, consumer engagement and activation surrounding best-in-class campaigns for our world-renowned clients and partners. They will be a creative, analytical and strategic leader and a fearless self-motivator, with a proven track record in developing sound, insight-driven strategies. This role requires a candidate who can independently lead account teams to achieve personal growth & development goals, while delivering / surpassing client and internal leadership expectations for best-in-class campaigns.
What You'll Do:
The successful candidate will have proven sponsorship/experiential related skills within a professional environment, using creative thinking and individual initiative, including the following:
Understand the strategies, goals & objectives behind each client and prospective client's business as well as the industry landscape as a whole.
Oversee and analyze ongoing sponsorship and market trends within sports, entertainment and lifestyle.
Research and translate key insights and learnings into strategic recommendations for clients.
Build innovative insight-driven strategic pitch decks and creative plans for our clients to meet and exceed their objectives, on time, on budget, and on brand
Ability to develop and build trusted client relationships, proactively identifying organic growth opportunities and business solutions.
Excellent business manager, able to effectively manage the resourcing and financial/budget management of multiple clients and teams at once.
Supervise multiple project teams consisting of Senior Managers, Managers, Associate Managers, Coordinators, Creative leads and Operation Managers, helping to determine resource allocations for each project on an ongoing basis.
Operate with a high degree of emotional intelligence, helping to foster growth of your team, with a strong influence and impact on the overall experience division.
What We're Looking For:
8-10 years relevant experiential and/or sponsorship industry experience
Demonstrated poise and humble confidence - experience collaborating with and presenting to senior level executives
Use forward thinking initiative to identify the best strategic opportunities and continue to deliver top results to the client, while synthesizing significant amounts of information to develop influential storylines
Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality with the ability to operate at a high level and drive decisions
An expert with PowerPoint and/or other presentation software – able to build creative and visually impactful slides that creatively and coherently articulate the various client briefs, opportunities and potential campaigns
Demonstrated ability to independently lead, mentor and develop a diverse and fast-moving team through clear and consistent communication of the organization's vision, goals and expectations and by actively managing individual staff performance
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate with impact and effectiveness at all levels of an organization
Quality-oriented and highly committed, and able to work effectively with a diverse group of team members
Ability to work in fast-paced environment under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
A passion for sports and entertainment is a huge asset
