Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our wellness team at Spark & Sound Health. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and a strong background in pediatrics. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our patients through effective therapy and case management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
  • Participate in case management activities to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Experience in acute care settings preferred; pediatric experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy and patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to improving patient quality of life.
