We are seeking a highly skilled
Autocad Technician
with commercial/industrial experience in architectural design, technical drafting, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and supporting construction projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and oversight of architectural and structural drawings
  , including shop, fabrication, and installation drawings, using Autocad, Inventor and Revit.
• Take ownership of
  project management activities
  , coordinating schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution from concept through completion.
• Oversee the
  development of structures
  , including commercial buildings, offices, and supporting layouts, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
• Design and coordinate
  office layouts, commercial structures, and site plans
  , integrating amenities such as washrooms, service areas, and parking facilities.
• Supervise and coordinate trades, professionals, and direct labour
  , ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and on-time delivery.
• Conduct
  site reviews and inspections
  to verify construction conforms to drawings, specifications, and performance standards.
• Liaise with engineering and technical consultants to resolve design and construction issues, maintaining alignment with project goals.
• Support in the
  budgeting, scheduling, and scope management
  , while driving efficiency and compliance with Ontario Building Code and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma
  in mechanical engineering
  or a related field.
• Minimum of
  5+ years' progressive experience
  in commercial and industrial architectural design, drafting, and
  project management
  .
• Proven ability in
  structure development and design
  , including offices, amenities (washrooms, service areas), and site planning (parking and grading).
• Proficiency in
  2D
  Autocad and 3D inventor
  and knowledge of
  Revit
  will be an asset.
• Sound knowledge of the
  Ontario Building Code
  with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance on-site and in design.
• Excellent
  communication, leadership and coordination skills
  , with the ability to work across engineering, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Skilled in
  office layout planning, HVAC coordination, structural detailing, and site development
  .
