Senior Quicksight Developer

Overview
Adastra is seeking a Senior QuickSight Developer to join our team in Toronto. This hybrid role is ideal for a data visualization specialist with deep expertise in Amazon QuickSight and Tableau, passionate about transforming complex data into actionable insights through compelling dashboards and visual analytics. You will play a key role in designing intuitive data products that empower strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight and Tableau
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful visualizations
• Optimize dashboard performance and ensure scalability for large datasets
• Translate business needs into intuitive, user-friendly data products
• Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for visualization standards
• Contribute to BI best practices and mentor junior team members when needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data visualization and BI development
• Advanced proficiency in Amazon QuickSight and Tableau
• Strong understanding of data products—how they are designed, built, and consumed
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with AWS ecosystem and data integration concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other BI tools and data visualization frameworks
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms – AWS preferred
