Title:
Community Health Practice Consultant

Salary:
$102,490 - $125,736 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:
Temporary, Full time, January 1st, July 18th, 2027

Hours:
37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location:
Surrey Office (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy)

Bargaining Unit
: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role
The Community Health Practice Consultant provides education, through leadership and consultation on clinical practice services that includes orientation, training, in service, clinical support and clinical competency assessment to nurses who provide health services to First Nations communities in British Columbia. Delivers professional nursing practice and program consultation supporting the development, implementation, and management of community based nursing programs.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience in community/public health nursing providing clinical practice support and education to nurses or an acceptable combination of education, training and professional experience.
  • Experience Nursing in First Nations communities

Registration & Certification

  • Eligibility or current registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
  • Current certification in immunizations and communicable disease
