20-25 hours/week NO WEEKENDS

Successful candidate must be available to work every evening, Monday-Friday, starting at 5pm through approximately 10pm.

We are a multi-specialty clinic providing a wide variety of health care to patients of the city of Peterborough and area. Our team of medical and surgical specialists, family physicians and interprofessional healthcare providers (IHP) are committed to providing quality patient care. We offer a variety of quality, on-site services to the community including X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, hearing services and pharmacy services.

The Housekeeping Assistant, alongside a great crew, is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of waiting rooms, clinical spaces, offices and washrooms. Specific responsibilities include: dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, laundry, garbage/recycle/biohazard, and floors. Additional housekeeping responsibilities are assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Adhere to infection prevention and control standards and follow health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure cleaning standards are achieved
  • Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to healthy work relationships through excellent communication
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and appropriate to a clinical setting
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Physically fit to perform the manual duties of the position
  • Covid-19 vaccinated (2 doses)
  • Current Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $18.20 per hour
