Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Hazmat Field Technician to join our team in the Okanagan. The Hazmat Field Technician will perform tasks such as assessing and identifying hazardous materials, conducting air quality testing and site inspections, installing and troubleshooting equipment, and supporting project management for safety compliance initiatives. The role also involves client communication, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring adherence to regulatory safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in identifying and handling Hazardous Materials and knowledge of safe disposal practices
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and address client inquiries effectively
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and an ability to maintain thorough documentation
- Ability to work independently on-site in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Relevant certifications or training in safety, hazmat handling, or related fields preferred
- Previous experience in safety, technical, or workforce consultancy is a plus
