Job Description: 168 Supermarket Corporation is a well-established grocery store located in Langley, BC, known for offering a wide range of high-quality products that serve the local community. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Operations Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of our store, with responsibilities ranging from managing staff to handling inventory and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers
• Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff; monitor and report on their performance
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, including displays, signage, and cleanliness
• Perform the same duties as workers supervised when needed
• Perform key holding and managerial duties such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries

Work Schedule:

Full-time position: 35 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

Completion of secondary school is required Previous retail sales experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role, is required Experience in a grocery store setting is preferred Strong organizational and leadership skills Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of diverse cultural products, especially those catering to the Vietnamese and Asian communities, is an asset
