About The Opportunity
Our client, a prominent boutique IP Litigation firm, is currently looking to expand its team and services by adding a senior level registered Patent Agent with a background in electrical engineering, computer sciences or software engineering. A book of business is required and Patent Agents working with the senior will also be considered. This opportunity provides a senior or Partner level Patent Agent the ability to continue servicing their clients and grow their practice in a positive, collegial and supportive environment with a very attractive and flexible compensation model.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Originating drafting, legal opinions, patent prosecution and patent office proceedings
  • Developing and implementing client's IP strategies
  • Providing litigation support as needed
  • Continued business development efforts

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

  • An advanced degree in either electrical engineering, computer sciences or software engineering
  • Be a registered Canadian Patent Agent
  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • Possess an existing book of business
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Members of an Agent's team will be considered
