Inspector C (hourly rate of pay $48.36)

Position Overview:

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as an Inspector C at our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada's success and in ensuring we meet our customers' quality, cost and delivery expectations. Inspector C will conduct non-destructive examination based on the certifications held.

On-site in Cambridge, Ontario

Your Day to Day as an Inspector C:


•Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop.


•Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.

•Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.

•Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.

•Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives.

•Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.

•Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Required Qualifications:


•Proven commitment to workplace safety.


•Must possess MT Level 2 AND PT Level 2, PLUS 2 of the following:
oCEDO
oUT CGSB-1
oRT CGSB-1
o2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector with BWXT
o5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT
oCertified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2)

•Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.

•Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.

•Proficiency with computer software.

•Available to work all shifts:
oWeekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
oWeekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
oWeekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR
oWeekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)

The pay range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON)  is expected to be between $48.36  and $48.36 per hour.  The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
