Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food industry standards. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and team management is essential to succeed in this position. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for guests while ensuring efficient and profitable operations.

Duties

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and cash handling using Micros POS systems.
  • Lead and manage a team of food service staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring new team members to build a competent staff.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate food handling procedures to minimize waste.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Support kitchen staff with food preparation as needed, including cooking and food presentation.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, including supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.
  • Background in hospitality or hotel industry experience is advantageous; barista or serving experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations including food industry regulations and kitchen procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
