Labourer (Floater)\Manutentionnaire

Responsibilities

The Material Handler position involves filling in, as needed, for the following roles:

• Cut to Length Helper
• Strapping Line Helper
• Bay 3 Helper (packaging material without any transformation)
• Skid fabrication
• General plant cleaner
• Plate cleaner

Summary of Duties

Depending on the needs of the production department, the employee may be required to:

• Stack, package, and strap materials into bundles
• Clean, stack, and secure plate pieces
• Build wooden pallets according to orders
• Clean the plant

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset

Qualifications

• Strong work ethics focused on producing quality work on time and in accordance with customer requirements
• Forklift certification and experience are an asset but not required
• Commitment to continuous improvement and health and safety
• Basic computer skills are an asset

Experience in a related industry is an asset, but even if you do not have it, we still encourage you to apply. On-the-job training will be provided.

Le poste de manutentionnaire consiste à remplacer selon les besoins les différents postes suivants :

•    Aide à la coupe en longueur 2520

•    Aide à la Chaîne de cerclage

•    Aide de la Baie 3 (emballage du matériel sans aucune transformation)

•    Fabrication de palettes

•    Nettoyeur(euse) général d'usine

•    Nettoyeur(euse) de plaques

En résumé, selon les besoins du département de production, l'employé(e) peut être appelé(e) à :

•    Empiler, emballer et sangler le matériel sous forme de paquets,

•    Nettoyer, empiler et attacher des morceaux de plaques,

•    Fabriquer des palettes de bois selon les commandes,

•    Nettoyer l'usine.

Formation académique

• Diplôme d'Études secondaires ou équivalence un atout

Qualifications

• Bonne éthique de travail axée sur la production d'un travail de qualité dans les délais et conformément aux exigences du client
• La certification et l'expérience de chariot élévateur sont agréables à avoir, mais pas obligatoires
• Engagement envers l'amélioration continue et la santé et la sécurité
• Compétences informatiques de base, un atout

Une expérience de travail dans une industrie connexe est un atout, mais même si vous ne l'avez pas, nous souhaitons quand même que vous postuliez. Une formation en cours d'emploi sera dispensée.
