About Us:
Elevex Group is excited to pilot a community initiative to give back by organizing pet adoption days in Vancouver, BC, connecting dogs and cats from local fosters and charities with loving homes. This initiative is a passion project for us, and we're looking for a dedicated volunteer to help bring it to life.
Role Purpose:
As our Volunteer Event Manager, you will play a key role in planning and running adoption events, engaging the community, and managing all marketing efforts. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals while gaining experience in event management, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute pet adoption events in Vancouver, BC
- Manage relationships with shelters, fosters, vendors, and other community partners
- Lead marketing and social media efforts to promote events and engage the community
- Ensure events comply with all relevant local regulations and safety requirements
- Collaborate with Elevex Group for support, sponsorship, and guidance - you are not alone
- Provide feedback on the pilot initiative to help shape its future
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with marketing, social media, and community engagement
- Passion for animals and community involvement
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with our team
- Previous event management or volunteer coordination experience is a plus
