Your Impact

As a Principal Financial Analyst – FP&A at OpenText, you'll play a pivotal role in driving financial insights that influence key operational and investment decisions. You will partner closely with business leaders across the organization to consolidate, analyze, and report on OPEX and allocations, helping to guide strategies that maximize long-term business value. Your work will be visible, impactful, and central to the success of a fast-growing, dynamic business.

What You Will Do

  • Consolidate, validate, and report OPEX and P&L results, including variance analysis and actionable commentary.
  • Drive and maintain allocation of expenses, ensuring processes, models, and systems are accurate and optimized.
  • Provide meaningful insights through scenario analysis, financial modeling, and aggregation of data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate assumptions and make recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects to support business initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, making financial reporting and analysis more efficient.

What It Takes

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in FP&A with strong business partnership exposure.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence across teams and present insights clearly to leadership.
  • Experience with financial and ERP reporting, Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Collaborative, able to build relationships and influence across cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; experience in technology or telecommunications a plus.
