Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to work with people with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or dementia care.

Prior experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to the right candidates. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in the healthcare field.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Help clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure client safety
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia or hospice care protocols
  • Support clients with activities of daily living in their homes or care facilities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
  • Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing dementia
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers safely
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; a caring attitude is essential for success in this role

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $18.75-$19.96 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
