JOB OPPORTUNITY

We love design and so do our clients. We are looking for an Interior Design Assistant who is equally passionate about design to join our team on a dynamic 6-month contract.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Work closely with designers to prepare designs and presentations.
  • Assist in preparing AutoCAD drawings.
  • Prepare 3D models using SketchUp.
  • Prepare project quotations
  • Assist in preparing material palettes and fixture selections.
  • Assist in preparing RFP and RFQs.
  • Liaise with vendors and construction team to prepare budgets.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our clients.
  • Maintain sample library in studio
  • Prepare presentation materials for meetings
  • Develop and maintain open communication and strong relationships with trade contractors and suppliers.
  • Assist construction department during project implementation and construction phase.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience working on residential interior design projects in Canada (Ontario experience strongly preferred), with familiarity in local construction practices, materials, suppliers, and trade coordination.
  • Possesses a good understanding of design styles and trends.
  • Has an accredited degree/diploma in Interior Design.
  • Has hands-on experience with residential interior design projects
  • Is proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and various Microsoft Office applications
  • Is a self-starter, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Is able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, 6-month contract with strong potential for permanent employment

Salary: $40, $42,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
