Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across the Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations.
BASIC EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES
Every Q2 Artificial Lift Services employee is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Leading by example by following established Quality, Health and Safety policies & procedures.
- Demonstrate respect for company facilities, equipment, and workspaces.
- Being responsible – on time for work and take breaks during designated times.
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed.
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Engineering team in drafting, designing and everyday tasks.
- Create and develop 3D models and drawings using Inventor.
- Implementing quality assurance procedures for production and processes.
- Maintenance of production drawings ensuring accuracy, organization and completeness including revision history.
- Work on new product deliverables, manufacturing deliverables and operational deliverables.
- Communicate with all Q2 North American pump shops for field non-conformities, new product development and Engineering support.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure project goals and tasks are completed within established deadlines.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, fabrication and welders to improve design and increase efficiency.
- Research and implement conceptual designs, optimized material and procedures.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and actionable outcomes.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
- 1 year of drafting experience minimum.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in Inventor / SolidWorks is essential.
- CFD / FEA knowledge would be an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Power BI experience is an asset.
- Detail-oriented, well organized.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Mechanically oriented.
