Bennett Grant LLP is a full-service law firm based in Kitchener, Ontario and serving clients throughout Ontario. Over the last 60 years we have maintained our reputation as specialists in a number of areas of the law, including corporate commercial, wills and estates, and real estate.

We require an individual with Corporate and Commercial experience to join a busy department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working on incorporations, amendments, and amalgamations
  • Maintaining corporate minute books (including electronic) and preparing resolutions and year end minutes
  • Preparing documentation for corporate reorganizations including the review of accountant instructions
  • Preparing documentation, carrying out corporate searches and completing registrations for asset and share purchases
  • Preparing final reports for all of the foregoing
  • Meeting strict deadlines;
  • Problem solving with minimal supervision;
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of Two (2) years' experience
  • Experience with Appara required. Experience with LEAP and Teraview would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients, lawyers, accountants and staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Must be organized, thorough and have high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
