Residential Cabinet Installer / Cabinet Maker – G&H Cabinetry & Woodworks (Cambridge, ON)

G&H Cabinetry & Woodworks is a fast-growing, high-end custom kitchen and millwork company serving the Kitchener–Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and GTA regions. We are looking to add a skilled, motivated individual to our team who can split their time between on-site installations and shop production.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, understands the details of cabinetry construction, and can represent our brand professionally at client homes.

Position: Residential Cabinet Installer / Cabinet Maker

Location: Cambridge, ON

Hours: Full-time

Schedule: Approx. 50% on-site cabinet installation + 50% shop work

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation

  • $18/hour for entry-level candidates with limited cabinetry experience.
  • $30+/hour for experienced journeyman installers capable of handling full installations independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install custom kitchen cabinets, vanities, closets, and millwork at residential job sites
  • Install crowns, scribes, fillers, panels, toe kicks, hardware, and accessories
  • Read and interpret shop drawings & measurements
  • Load/unload cabinets and materials and transport them to job sites
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to complete projects on schedule
  • Assist in shop production: cabinet building, edge banding, CNC prep, assembly, sanding, etc.
  • Maintain a clean work van and job site, and represent our company professionally

Required Skills & Must-Haves Cabinet Installation Skills

  • Strong knowledge of residential cabinet installation
  • Experience installing kitchens, gables, fillers, panels, scribes, crowns, and trim
  • Ability to achieve clean, tight installations with attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills on site (fitting, leveling, adjustments)

Licensing Requirement

  • Valid CVOR license (must be able to drive our work van to job sites)

Cabinetry Building Knowledge

  • Ability to build cabinets using saws and standard woodworking tools
  • Understanding of cabinet construction (dowels, dadoes, hinges, drawer slides, etc.)
  • Edge banding
  • CNC experience is an asset — we can teach this, as long as the candidate understands cabinet fundamentals

Other Requirements

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to lift cabinets/materials
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clean driving record and CVOR license to drive company van for deliveries
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
