Job DescriptionJob Duties:
- Under strict supervision, assists senior operators and/or performs frac-specific job roles (e.g., proppant, chemicals, blenders, QA/QC, etc... ).
- Learns basic operations to include but not limited to: performing pre/post job equipment inspections, performing and completing preventative maintenance procedures and operating support equipment (e.g., proppant handling, fluid tanks, suction manifolding, discharge manifold equipment, etc.).
- Completes requisite training and demonstrates competency as defined for current and next level.
- Assists in assembly and preparation of equipment for installation and service.
- Assists in the cleanup, repair, and preparation for the next job.
- Exhibits safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Participates in quality and continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications:
- Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in Canada will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
- Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred.
- Skills are acquired through on-the-job training and 3-6 months experience as an Operator Asst I.
- Class 5 non-GDL driver's license required with the ability to obtain a Class 1 license. Halliburton will support successful candidates in the necessary Class 1 license course once employed.
- Must be able to provide a copy of drivers abstract.
- This position requires you to coordinate your own local housing in the Grande Prairie area during scheduled time on.
- Schedule: 15 days on/6 days off with overtime eligibility.
- Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and /or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available including Service Operator I and Service Operator II.
