Title: Senior QE

Type of Employment – Contract

Working Model – Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite)

Location – Vancouver only

Start Date – Immediately (Within 2 weeks)

Experience Required: 5+ years total QA experience, including 4+ years in test automation

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD
  • Design and execute API tests using RestAssured (Java) and Postman
  • Write and maintain JMeter scripts for performance testing
  • Write Python scripts for Automation
  • Automate test cases across UI, API, and backend components
  • Develop and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Execute tests on local VMs, staging, and QA environments
  • Identify, log, and track defects using Jira
  • Participate in daily Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, BAs, and product owners
  • Work with AWS services as part of test execution and environment management

Must-Have Skills

  • Java programming and OOP principles
  • Automation frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, TestNG or JUnit
  • API testing: RestAssured (Java), Postman
  • Performance testing: JMeter scripting experience
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, GitHub
  • IDE: IntelliJ, Visual Studio
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Comfortable using tools like Jira, Zephyr, and Git
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Automation integration with AWS (e.g., S3 or batch jobs)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
  • Security testing knowledge
  • SQL scripting experience
  • ISTQB or ASTQB certification

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
