Richmond BC VA E, Canada The Peak Group of Companies Full time

About The PEAK Group of Companies

The PEAK Group of Companies is a privately held, enterprise-scale organization operating across Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. We are the exclusive supplier to The Home Depot Canada, The Home Depot U.S., and Bunnings Australia and New Zealand, operating in highly structured, performance-driven retail and supply chain environments that demand operational discipline, financial rigor, and executive credibility.

Our businesses — PEAK Products Manufacturing, a leader in home renovation and outdoor living products serving national and international retail partners, and PEAK RSG Services, a trusted provider of emergency restoration services operating in select Canadian provinces — together support complex manufacturing, service, and multi-entity financial structures. As PEAK continues to scale globally, we are strengthening our executive leadership bench to support long-term, sustainable growth.

We are seeking a proven, enterprise Chief Financial Officer to report directly to the CEO, partner with ownership and the executive team and provide steady, sophisticated financial leadership across the organization.

This Role Is Best Suited For

This opportunity is intentionally designed for a CFO who has already operated successfully within a large, reputable Canadian enterprise and who understands the expectations, governance, and complexity that come with scale.

You will thrive in this role if you have held senior financial leadership responsibility within organizations comparable in sophistication to national retailers, large manufacturers, diversified services companies, or institutional-grade private enterprises.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO, ownership, and senior leadership team
  • Leading PEAK's global financial strategy across Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand
  • Full oversight of all finance functions including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, risk management, compliance, and governance
  • Supporting PEAK's relationships and operational scale with The Home Depot Canada, The Home Depot U.S., and Bunnings Australia and New Zealand
  • Strengthening enterprise-level forecasting, planning, capital discipline, and financial decision-making
  • Building, mentoring, and leading a strong, credible global finance organization
  • Bringing calm, clarity, and confidence to periods of growth, complexity, and change

Required Experience & Profile (Non-Negotiable)

  • Senior financial leadership experience as CFO, EVP Finance, or equivalent within a $300M+ revenue organization
  • Background within large, well-governed Canadian companies known for operational discipline, financial controls, and executive accountability
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-entity operations across multiple geographies
  • Experience working with or supporting large national or global customers with rigorous reporting, compliance, and performance expectations
  • Strong technical and strategic finance foundation with a CPA designation
  • Track record of leading mature, high-performing finance teams within established organizations
  • Comfortable operating in environments with formal governance, clear accountability, and high executive standards

Executive Leadership & Thought Leadership Expectations

  • Brings enterprise-level executive presence and credibility with ownership, CEOs, and senior leaders
  • Recognized as a thoughtful, steady, and commercially astute financial leader
  • Able to translate complex financial realities into clear, confident guidance for executive decision-making
  • Balances discipline and rigor with pragmatism and business partnership
  • Leadership style aligned with PEAK's culture: accountable, collaborative, low-ego, and high-performance
  • Viewed as a trusted advisor, not simply a functional leader

Why This Role Is Different

  • True enterprise CFO mandate with real scope and influence
  • Global operating footprint supporting some of the most sophisticated retailers in the world
  • Engaged ownership that values experienced, principled financial leadership
  • Strong financial foundation with a clear runway for continued growth
  • Opportunity to apply big-company discipline within a focused, agile organization

Location

  • Canada-based role, headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia
  • Relocation support available
  • Periodic national and international travel required

The PEAK Group of Companies is committed to building a diverse and inclusive leadership team and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates. Only candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.

Salary: Starting at $250,000, plus benefits and additional incentives
